Lesson 3: Reading: Higher or lower pitch (written)

In music, pitch refers to the quality of a sound that allows us to classify it as relatively high or low. It is the frequency of the sound waves that makes us perceive a note as higher or lower when compared to another. The faster the wave vibrations, the higher the frequency and the higher the pitch.

It is important to understand if a sound has a higher or lower pitch than the other, both in musical notation and when hearing the sounds.

In this lesson you are going to learn to recognize if a note has a higher or lower pitch than the other.
